Multicultural Heroes Case Competition now accepting applications
Since 2001, more than 500 students have participated in the Multicultural Business Programs’ annual Multicultural Heroes Hall of Fame Case Competition, in celebration of Black History Month. This annual event gives MSU students the chance to learn about leaders who have a made an impact for equality and compete to induct these heroes into the hall of fame.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2020 Black History Month Multicultural Heroes Hall of Fame Case Competition. The deadline is Jan. 15, 2020.
The competition is open to MSU undergraduate students of any major who are registered for the spring 2020 semester. Each team essaysonline org is required to include at least three registered students.
To be selected for the competition, each team must select a multicultural hero from the list provided on the application: Abraham Lincoln, Harriet Tubman, Cesar Chavez and more. Teams must make a case for why their hero should be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The final event will be held on Feb. 19 at https://www.hartford.edu/ 6 p.m. in room N100 of the Broad College Complex. Teams will have 10 minutes to present their case, which must include a biographical overview, how their hero has carried and passed the torch of justice, how their hero contributed to the struggle for human rights and the relationship between their hero and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The winning team will be selected by a panel of judges and will receive a $3,000 prize.
